How Does the Lincoln Square/NorthCenter/ Roscoe Village Area Compare with the Chicago Average?

According to recent reports, the average home price in Chicago has dropped 30 percent since its peak in September, 2006. Thirty percent!! that is nearly a third of the value. I did a review of the closed price of single family homes in Roscoe Village, North Center, and Lincoln Square. I compared September, 2006 sales with December, 2010 sales. In this area the average price dropped only 7%. Not so bad if you own a home here.
